Embroidery stitch estimator
Drop your logo in and we will estimate the stitch count, and tell you what it costs on our headwear. It is an estimate to plan around, not a quote — the real number comes from the digitized file.

A transparent PNG gives the best result. A logo on a solid background will read as one big block and come out far too high.
Standard suits the large majority of jobs. Only reach for dense if the artwork is solid blocks of colour with no gaps.

How this works, and where it is wrong
We measure how much of your image is actually inked — every pixel that is not transparent — scale that to the size you asked for, and multiply by a stitches-per-square-inch figure for the density you picked.
That is the same arithmetic a digitizer starts from, and it lands close on ordinary logos. It will be wrong in both directions on some jobs:
- Too high on artwork with a background, or on large solid areas a digitizer would open up.
- Too low on fine detail, small text, outlines and anything needing an underlay — a design can carry more stitches than its area suggests.
- Not counted at all: trims, jumps and travel between elements.
So treat it as a way to see roughly where you sit against the 10,000 stitches our headwear price includes. If it comes back close to that line, send the file over and we will give you the real figure before you commit to anything.
